Achieve Saturdays

A literacy mentorship program

OVERVIEW

Achieve Saturdays are a unique experience where “Little Buddies” in grades 2-5 read, write, and share one-on-one with their “Big Buddy” mentors. Mentors are high performing role model students from neighborhood public and private high schools dedicated to helping young students fall in love with reading. Two Saturdays a month, buddies come together as a team, build meaningful relationships, and grow as leaders and readers.

Big Buddies receive 5 hours of community service per Saturday.

Little Buddies who participate receive:

  • A healthy breakfast and snack
  • One-on-one mentoring/tutoring
  • Practice in fluency, comprehension, writing, and public speaking
  • Access to the Accelerated Reader program
  • Book of their choice on their reading levels
  • FUN LEARNING with their Big Buddy Mentors

We can’t wait to see everyone there!
