Achieve Scholars
Our Achieve Scholars program, which launched in the 2020-2021 school year, is a selective program that provides college readiness support to Seniors at schools throughout Miami-Dade. Students will benefit from test preparation resources, individualized application support, and will participate in leadership trainings that will prepare them to be successful in college, career, and beyond!
Achieve Scholars 2021-2022 Application Timeline
Application Launch Date: January 27, 2021
Priority Deadline: March 8, 2021
Final Deadline: April 1, 2021
Interview Window: March 15, 2021 – April 19, 2021
Final Announcement: April 28, 2021

Expected Outcomes
Students participating in Achieve Scholars will:
- Improve their ACT/SAT scores
- Apply to 5+ best fit colleges
- Develop leadership skills
- Complete their FAFSA
- Write a high quality personal essay
- Connect with a cohort of like-minded, motivated peers from across Miami-Dade
- Build personal budgeting skills
- Develop the professional skills they need to succeed in college, career, and beyond!

Achieve Scholars is an opportunity for Seniors in Miami-Dade to benefit from comprehensive supports that will help them access and be successful in college and beyond. Through large and small group workshops as well as individualized coaching and support, participants will receive support on the following topics:
- Exploring and choosing best fit colleges
- Completing the FAFSA
- Managing the college application process
- Navigating ACT/SAT testing tips and tricks
- Securing financial aid, awards, and scholarships
- Preparing to matriculate to college
- Creating a college budget
- Learn best practices for succeeding in college (time and workload management, balancing school and work, etc.)
