Deputy Director of Programs

Achieve Miami is searching for a self-driven, passionate, and fun-spirited individual to join our team as our Deputy Director of Programs! This leader will oversee all elements of Achieve Miami’s elementary and high school programs and will directly supervise our Program Directors to ensure that we are consistently implementing high quality programs. This role requires a confident self-starter with an attention to detail, strong entrepreneurial spirit, relationship-building skills, and the ability to get things done. 

Achieve Music Teaching Assistant

The Teaching Assistant will perform a wide range of duties which include support of the Achieve music teachers with implementing weekly lessons, performances, and maintaining music equipment. Teaching Assistants will also participate in professional development and coaching.

Achieve Miami Success Coach

This part-time (up to 9 hours/week) position provides advanced professional support facilitating access to opportunities for Achieve Scholars and/or Achieve Club participants to develop social skills, cultural competence, study skills, and academic skills appropriate for their educational goals. Works with low-income, first-generation, or academically disadvantaged high school students to help them develop the skills needed to become successful college students. Serves as the liaison between high schools and Achieve Miami to ensure implementation and successful progress towards project objectives. Performs related duties as assigned, and in accordance with programmatic needs. Currently, we are seeking to hire Success Coaches to work with high school students at Homestead Senior High School and Miami Southridge Senior High School.

Summer Roles

Achieve Instructional Coach (Summer)

The Instructional Coaches (IC) develop teachers participating in our Achieve Summer program. An Instructional Coach is an experienced educator who coaches, motivates, and supports teachers in their overall professional growth and helps them reconnect with the joy of teaching and learning. The Instructional Coach will provide meaningful, invigorating, and innovative professional development, as well as develop teachers through coaching cycles and collaborative planning to either elementary or high school educators. The Instructional Coach will participate in professional development to continue building their own leadership skills.

Achieve Summer Teacher (Elementary)

Achieve Summer Teachers plan and execute meaningful lessons and create a joyful and enriching classroom environment for students over Achieve Miami's 6-week summer program. To grow their teaching capacity, teachers also participate in daily collaborative planning, meaningful professional development, and coaching.

Achieve Success Coach (Summer)

Achieve Success Coaches provide instruction to high school students during the Achieve Miami Summer Session. These teacher leaders conduct individual and small group sessions to address personal, academic and career concerns as well as instruct courses over six-weeks on topics such as college essays, finding best fit colleges, monitoring during SAT tutoring, developing soft skills, leadership building, and more.

Achieve Music Teacher (Elementary)

Achieve Summer Music Teachers plan and execute meaningful lessons and create a joyful and enriching classroom environment for students. To grow their teaching capacity, teachers also participate in collaborative planning, meaningful professional development, and coaching.
