Achieve Summer

Achieve Summer is a full-day, six-week program that engages rising elementary students in high-quality academic and enriching summer experiences, while developing the capacity of high school students, and the leadership of professional teachers across Miami-Dade.

All members of Achieve Summer are continuously growing, engaging in meaningful learning, and seeking to improve their skill sets. We ensure that every aspect of our program is infused with joy, camaraderie, and cultural relevance for our students. We support and push each other towards success, address challenges together, and celebrate achievements. We collaborate during the learning process and present our findings to our peers to ensure that everyone grows together.

Project Based Learning

Throughout Achieve Summer, each class works on a project together to demonstrate their knowledge and skills by creating a public product or presentation for a real audience the last day of programming. In PBL, students develop a deep context knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills.

Social Emotional Learning

Through direct Social Emotional Learning (SEL) instruction, students acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions, achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.

Field Trips & Events

Elementary and high school students get to experience Miami-Dade favorites like Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens, Frost Museum of Science, Zoo Miami, and others. High School students get to enjoy their Best Look Forward event at Aventura Mall.
