Achieve Miami offers a variety of programs to high school students across Miami-Dade. We partner with 11 public high schools to deliver college and career readiness support, leadership development, financial literacy, field exposure, and more. We also offer meaningful service opportunities to all students in Miami-Dade.
We bring together diverse high school students from across Miami to connect and give back to the Greater Miami community. The Achieve Club offers a wide variety of impactful community service in Title 1 schools and leadership opportunities, including Achieve SPARK, formerly Achieve Saturdays, and the Junior Advisory Board. Achieve SPARK aims to connect high school and elementary students through mentorship, literacy, movement, and fun. Our Junior Advisory Board (JAB) is an opportunity for students to join a team of young decision-makers dedicated to making a positive impact in the community, creating and leading community service projects for our underserved elementary students, providing input for Achieve Miami events, and recruiting future changermakers. Achieve Club membership is entirely free, like all our programs, and members earn service hours for their work in the community.
Achieve Scholars is a selective program that provides college and career readiness support to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in Title I high schools across Miami-Dade. Scholars receive various workshops and individualized check-ins with school-based Success Coaches focusing on the college application process, free test preparation, academic advising, mentorship, and leadership training that prepares them to be successful in all aspects post-graduation. Achieve Scholars can also participate in industry field trips, a paid internship with Achieve Summer, and cross-campus community building with peers. Dedicated seniors are also eligible for Achieve-sponsored scholarships. Applications are open on a rolling basis, and students who aren’t accepted will be put on a waiting list.
The Achieve Career Pathways Program (CPP) is designed to prepare high school juniors and seniors for the workforce by teaching career skills and industry knowledge through workshops, industry exposure, and hands-on experiences. This program is ideal for students who want to participate in short-term certification programs and/or enter the workforce in less than a year after high school graduation. Achieve Career Pathways participants will have access to a network of peers, exclusive resources, and opportunities to help students achieve their professional goals.
The purpose of the Achieve Alumni Program is to help former Achieve Scholars successfully navigate their first year of college by providing mentorship and various workshops, such as selecting classes, joining campus organizations, networking, and studying abroad. A dedicated Success Coach meets with alumni once a month to provide any assistance with academics, health and well-being, and more.
