Nearly 600 Miami-Dade County public school students participated on July 18 in the “Achieve Summer Showcase,” the culminating event of Miami-based education nonprofit Achieve Miami’s six-week summer program. Hosted across four school campuses, including Caribbean K-8 Center, Jesse J. McCrary Jr. Elementary, Frederick Douglass Elementary, and Lake Stevens Elementary, the showcase featured student-led exhibits and live Shark Tank style presentations to panels of business leaders, educators, and professionals from some of South Florida’s most prominent organizations.
